اضطر سكان أكثر من 3500 عقار في منطقة Shuswap ضمن مجتمع Scotch Creek في بريتش كولومبيا إلى الإخلاء يومي الجمعة والسبت، حيث تم تصنيف الحرائق بأنها شديدة جدا، وفقا لدائرة الإطفاء في بريتش كولومبيا ومسؤولي الطوارئ المحليين.

وأكدت دائرة الإطفاء يوم السبت، أن حريقي غابات يتحركان بسرعة كبيرة، أحرقا كتلا من المنازل والمخازن والمباني في مجتمعات متعددة في منطقة Shuswap.
